Iran comedy ‘Rahman 1400’ stands on poster

New Iranian comedy ‘Rahman 1400’ has revealed a poster.

Directed by Manouchehr Hadi, ‘Rahman 1400’ has been submitted to the secretariat office of the 37th Fajr Film Festival, but it didn’t go on the event’s screen.

The new comedy is supposed to hit the domestic silver screens in some three months.

The film’s shooting started in summer 2018 in the cities of Tehran, Karaj and Shahiyar.

‘Rahman 1400’ tells the story of Rahman who is facing  financial problems and difficulties and intends to ask for help from a company managed by Mr. Jalousi played by Mehran Modiri.

However, Mr. Jalousi gives him a bearer for 2021 (1400 in Persian calendar); and there the story begins.

In addition to Modiri, some of the movie’s cast members are Yekta Nasser, Saeed Aqakhani, Bahram Afshari, Mohammad-Reza Golzar and Sareh Bayat.

Born in 1972, Hadi began his career as an actor and assistant director after graduating from high school.

He made his directing debut in 2006 with ‘Turmoil’ before writing and directing movies such as ‘The Last Day of the Month’, ‘Accident’, ‘Tomorrow’s Opportunities’ and ‘Mahjoub Alley’.
